Surf
Ask Shaga Surf, Esau about the waves….He can teach you how to surf and take you on a fishing tour or canoe ride through the mangroves. If he is not around, ask for Pablito, he is your neighbor if your are staying at Chacahua Cabana
Rent boards for about $20 per USD or about 350 pesos per day from Roberto, Uriel, Guerro, Brian, Omar, Periko, Jose Luis, Pelon,Vato Billy Loco or Chuey. Check scuffs on board and if you ding the board you gotta pay for repairs, so don’t hit any other surfers or the jetty rocks if you walk out to the wave. Make sure they dont charge you for damage you didnt do. Be ready to get ripped off, so be smart and don’t.
Ganja and Nose Candy
There is some pretty good weed and some decent yayo, or whidee as they call it. Its legal in Mexico to have drugs if they are in a personal amount. About 20 dollars will get you started. Ask a local young humble surfer who isn’t drunk, they will help you out.

Ladies and Gentleman
Cordonazo is a good local bar in Rio Grande if you are lonely and want to meet some pretty ladies, I would suggest a personal bar and cantina guide, let me know and I can suggest a guide and ride. In Chacahua, just go to Sacamiche or Bar Revolcon or the disco on the playita for some night life. Be mindful of the living force and be safe if you go swimming in the lagoon or the ocean. In front of Guerro and Perico’s by the Jetty is the safe place to swim in the sea.
